Stronger, happier more connected families.
Parentkind exists to help parents find their way back to themselves, each other and their village, so they can have happier, stronger more connected families now and into the future.
About us.
Parentkind is a home base for parents through the early years of parenthood - a place where you and and your relationships are looked after too. We bring together real wellbeing support, practical tools and community in one place, so you don't have to piece it all together on your own.
We're here for mums, dads, partners, co-parents and every family shape. Book a therapy session, join a group, or simply come along one of our village builders. Step back when life gets full, and come back whenever you need us.
Why we started
So much attention goes to the birth plan and the baby thriving. Far less goes to the people raising that baby. Meanwhile, families are being asked to raise kids, hold down work and keep a relationship alive without the village humans have always had. When it gets hard, most advice hands the job back to parents, usually mums: communicate better, organise better, look after yourself better.
We think parents deserve more than another to-do list. They need a place to be seen, supported and held through all ages and stages of parenthood.
What we believe.
We’ve built Parentkind on the belief that everyone should have a safe, judgement-free zone that’s made for them.
We just want to see a world full of stronger, happier more connected parents.
Real, not perfect.
Parenthood is messy, and we're honest about that. Good enough is enough here.
Parents matter too.
Your wellbeing counts in its own right, not just as a means to your baby's.
Evidence over opinion.
Our support is evidence-informed, not fads, trends or judgement. And it sits alongside what you know about your own family, never above it.
Judgement-free.
Every family shape, every choice and every hard day is welcome here.
Relationships first.
We look at the whole family, solo parents included: you, your child, your relationships, your village and the world around you. Change can start anywhere, not just inside you.
Small steps count.
Change happens gradually. No overhauls, no quick fixes, just what's realistic for you right now.
Built for good.
Parentkind is a social enterprise. This means we exist with a purpose to serve our community. As a social enterprise, we’ve committed 50% of our profits to go back into ensuring our programs and services are accessible to parents and families that might face additional barriers or financial struggles that stop them from accessing quality mental health services. When you pay for a therapy session or a group, you’re making it possible for someone to come along who needs that bit of extra help.
Meet the Founders.
We build Parentkind because we’ve lived it. This is the space we wish we had.
Kim is a co-founder of Parentkind and brings years of building community-led services that put people first. Her expertise is in non-profit and social enterprise leadership and you’ll find her behind the scenes building good systems, telling people about our work and sometimes sneaking in to co-facilitate programs with Eva.
Kim has a beautiful little boy and is passionate about Parentkind after navigating her own experience of depression and burn out in the years following her son’s birth.
